finally.. i tendered my resignation =)

its gonna be a boring entry today.. its gonna be "Hungry Ghost Festival" =)
all the "Whys" "Whats" "Hows" =)

i din noe until darling reminded me.. tml which is 1st August.. its e beginning of the "hungry ghost festival"

no more staying out late =X

How does the festival came about??

Chinese legend has it that a long time ago, there lived a young man, Mu Lian and his widowed mother. His mother was a wicked woman. She often turned away beggars who came to her door asking for food. She liked to jeer at the working poor and their dirty clothes; in essence, the only person she cared about was herself.

Mu Lian on the other hand was a kind soul. He was a gentle person and always willing to help anybody who was in need. One day he decided to become a monk and this did not please his mother. She scowled at him for being such a useless son; she wanted him to go out and work to earn more money for her. Wealth and materialistic things meant more to her than anything else.

When she saw that she could not dissuade her son, a plan began to hatch in her mind. She decided to play a trick on the monks just to get back at them for taking away her son. Now it was the custom to offer food to the monks (this custom still exists to this very day), but only vegetarian food. Mu Lian’s mother thought that it was nonsensical that these monks did not eat meat, so one day she offered food to some monks and slipped in some non-vegetarian items.

According to one version of the story, the wicked woman was punished immediately and was sent to hell. Mu Lian wanted to save his mother’s soul because he knew her soul was suffering.

He set out and ventured deep into the bowels of hell. Soon he came upon his mother and he saw that she was sitting a bed of very sharp pointy stakes and was holding on to a basin of blood.

Mu Lian tried feeding her some food but the food would either turn into fire or blood. It was hopeless: he couldn’t do anything for her so he left. He returned home and started to pray.

It is said that Buddha heard Mu Lian’s prayers and was touched by Mu Lian’s compassion. Thus Buddha decreed that once a year, the gates of hell be opened so that the lost souls will be able to roam the earth and be fed. This is why every year on the seventh day of the seventh month in the lunar calendar, the Chinese celebrate the festival of the hungry ghost. This is one of five major festivals in the Chinese culture.

Food and drink will be offered at night outside the gates of houses. This is so that the ghosts do not enter their houses and cause trouble. A traditional food made for this festival is steamed sweet bread. Lanterns are lit to help guide the ghosts to the feasts set out for them. Special paper money is also burned as offerings to these ghosts so that they can take it back to hell and spend it there. To make sure that these souls stay out of trouble, entertainment is set up round the clock, mainly Chinese operas performed on outdoor stages.

What is Hungry Festival??

The Ghost Festival (simplified Chinese: 中元节; traditional Chinese: 中元節; pinyin: zhōngyuánjié) is a traditional Chinese festival and holiday, which is celebrated by Chinese in many countries. In the Chinese calendar (a lunisolar calendar), the Ghost Festival is on the 15th night of the seventh lunar month.

ive been sick since monday.. v sickly.. =(

darling is very sweet.. he took care of me on monday wen i was @ his house.. and he came over to my hse last night wif dinner and medicated sweets for my sore throat.. love him much =)

i was v sick for e past 2days.. dang.. im still putting e blame on e PRAWNS! =X cuz sujuan also fell sick after e prawns.. HAHA.. idiotic prawns..

went to see doc before i go home today.. demand from darling and mummy.. SO MANY MEDICINE!! =( liquid and tablets.. gosh.. hate it.. but well.. i must get well soon!!

to cut down everyone's burden and worries =)

been raining everyday.. every single day.. damn.. COLDDDDDDddddddddd weather..

thankfully to my sweet sweet boyfriend who fetches me last thursday.. hehe.. =X e rain is crazy in singapore now.. BAHx3!

monday.. which is 28th July, im gonna start my new class. looking forward to it.. cuz i love tt course too much.. =PpP i wan more n more n more facials and massage trainings.. GO!

update!! i get to use e very new apple computer!!! HOW COOL!! damn.. apple computer is very COOL! i swear to THEmax... especially e one juz arrive to my office.. SUPER COOL! =X

Top To Toe loves apple computer.. e old apple already DEAD.. and everyone here accuse me for "killing" it.. cuz im e one who always use it..
[I'M INNOCENT] i swear....

ultra big, ultra slim (especially e keyboard), super cool mouse, super nice graphic.. FWAH! canot resist using it lah.. =X
but!! apple is super unfriendly to all other PCs.. -.o" this is wad i hate is.. so incompatible to Windows XP and Windows Vista.. DAMN IT.. =X

look @ the keyboard.. i love e keyboard e most.. so small.. so slim.. so friendly.. and ultra easy to type.. DAMN IT!!! nice colour combination.. everything perfect abt e keyboard to me lah =X

SEE! darling promised me that we gonna watch "The Dark Knight" yesterday.. and we really did watch it.. HEHEHEHE!! =X
v v very nice movie.. well.. kinda sad ending thou.. =( that woman died.. which she shouldn deserve it.. ARG!!

i was saying.. joker's role wasnt played well in the movie.. he could be more cunning thou.. compared to cartoons' action.. i expect him to play a more cunning role.. HE DONT HAVE E "V" SMILE!! wasted.. =X

overall.. the movie consider nice! =X

and yet again.. i din spend money.. GOOD GIRL!! =D but!! i made her spend so much.. oops..
she say she dun wanna go shopping wif me again cuz i always make her spend money.. =(

met darling @ night =) darling dabao some ultra-licious food for me for my dinner from his family buffet thingy.. hehehehe.. i got to eat siew mai, mee hoon, satay, prawn and many many more.. =D =D =D triple happiness.. hehe..

and we turn in damn early.. i think 11plus.. both of us were so tired..

i couldnt stop myself from laughing.. and darling was disturbed by my laughter.. can u imagine im watching a comedy that i cant laugh? so un-bearable.. ARG!!! well.. i stil behave myself trying not to disturb him.. ^^

im feeling down.. =(
or am i too sensitive?

am i not the one u think of most of the time? or am i asking too much?? shouldnt some things that is auto-matic or am i suppose to ask every time to find out myself?

i dunno if im suffering from depression or wadeva.. ever since that very day.. my tears fall easily when small little things pinched me.. and sometimes i even felt a little pain in my heart.. for juz small little things..

sometimes.. im juz randomly pop-ing up questions juz to console myself for listening to something real sweet.. u juz wouldnt answer it.. and bouncing back e pain to myself..
i think my work n studies is really pushing me too much..
u knew.. little small things could make me happy.. juz little small things.. u knew it.. but why??

its not like im complaining all e time.. its not like im asking alot from u..

ok.. enuff of emo stuffs.. let's say something happilicious!! =D
im gonna go shopping again!!! weeee! its gonna be on saturday with feifei and mavis.. im gonna enjoy myself =)

hmm..shopping spree yesterday is super enjoyable wif shujuan yesterday!! =X lalalla.. went bugis.. and i bought many many things.. im so happy =X hehehe.. and i bought darling a cig box.. BUT! spoile le.. sigh.. nvm..

met up wif darling in e evening for dinner.. sushi for him =) smiles.. and we watched "HELLBOY 2" @ night.. WooHOoO!!! excited u noe.. =X
a very touching story lah.. "i cant smile without you.. i cant smile without you....." trallalalala =X even fishes cried.. i still prefer hellboy 1.. =X

up next will be "The Dark Knight"!! =X oops.. loadsa movie i wanna watch.. cravings... =X gonna watch @ E-Hub e next time.. better in everything compared to Golden Village in Tampines..

trailer for RED CLIFF!

watched "Red Cliff" with dearest, christy and ben @ E-Hub Downtown last sunday..

my 1st visit to E-Hub Downtown.. pretty nice designed place for kids thou.. i saw very very big "Fun Dazzle" reminds me of my childhood @ tampines mall "Fun Dazzle" .. LOL..

we saw loadsa food as well.. all e fast food restaurant.. maybe i should really make my trip down for dinner some day.. and i saw a "Mini Singapore Flyer" =X LOL..

oh yah.. i also watched "L".. HeHEHEHE!! finally right? i knew my brother dotx me.. he downloaded specially for me ok! =X lalalla.. v v v good quality.. hees..

been sickly for a week already.. =( all becuz of e bad weather =X rain n shine.. *blame blame blame.. LOL..

Sore throat.. flu-ed.. =( i hate it every morning when i woke up.. its torturous.. sigh..

oh!! to those who enlisted on e 11th July; sut, sihan; derrick; jeffery.. good luck to ur training inside and miss e civilians ok? =X haha...

work is giving me hell shit now.. im really v unhappy abt it.. shitty shifts im getting now.. juz 2 more weeks im leaving.. ive to cover all e shifts.. im so tired.. =( =( how i wish i could stay somewhr near my working place.. sigh..
can u imagine if i work 10am - 9pm.. reach home abt 11pm.. and woke up 7am the next day continueously for 3 days? im gonna be damn tired.. =( im gonna kill many many of my brain cells.. =(

last week worst.. im sick wif fullshifts. hell with no understanding to my conditions! DEADLY..

last night im ='( .. i walked alone down e street with a little drizzling.. i was so tired.. standing under e tree looking @ houses with dim lights.. hearing cars passes-by.. i juz felt so lonely. no sign of taxi @ all.. i continue to walk towards.. till i got up e taxi..

im packed next week.. =( im gonna miss my darling alot..

bOo! im back blogging! been v v v v b busy lately.. work is screwing partial of me as usual..

lets start from last FRIDAY, 4th July 2008
almost got a car accident.. i was taking express518 home.. e drive drove v fast and stop v fast.. i din care abt it.. i plug in my ipod and lie against e window and close my eyes as usual.. SUDDENLY!! e bus "BUMP!" onto a bus infront.. -.- i knocked my head against e window so hard.. and so.. everyone got down e bus wif complementary ride.. and i saw half of e front glass of e bus cracked.. scares me to death..

work on weekends is always e most relax time i assumed.. but! e crowd today is so busy in e morning.. but relaxed in e afternoon.. watched "HellBoy" online.. hehe.. wanna catched it before i watch "HellBoy 2" wooHoO! is coming out soooo SOON! =PpP

den headed home after work.. suppose to go hospital to visit my grandma.. but i realise its already so late.. i waited for express579 for 45mins u noe!! =( stupid SMART is getting too much.. 45min still haven come.. -.-
went home n rest and waited for darlin to fetch me. but in e end i took taxi go fetch darling for Tampines Firestation =)
after he changed and everything.. we headed to Princep St "Mind's Cafe" .. met up with Mao, Sut and perry there.. ordered our stuffs and start playing LOH! we played till 3am den headed home... =)

woke up in e late afternoon.. =X visited darling's grandma.. she's sick.. sigh.. we stayed there for abt 45min.. den headed to CGH to visit my ah ma.. recovering fast =)
went Bugis, Bencoolen Centre to visit my aunty.. darling bought a watch =) and met up wif Ben & Christy after tt..
FWAH!! wad a long day.. i dun even feel like blogging.. well.. its juz memories.. =) blogging is a way of keeping good and bad memories.. by juz flipping through.. cant believe it.. ive been bloggin since 2005.. FWAH!
eh nono.. should be 2004.. i remembered i closed down friendster blog den use blogspot.. =)

today.. Monday blues.. feeling im sick.. *CHOY*
feeling cold, and flam stucked @ throat and soreness @ throat in e morning.. i should go run in e evening =) hope it goes off after the run.. im not gonna get sick.. arg!!

its always empty wen i took express579 home.. 1hr of bus ride cost me $3.30.. i pay for it cuz i can tk a rest on e bus and i get to SIT! =X
compared to u take a train and changed a bus home.. journey of 45min, $2plus and i get to stand all e WAY!
